This program provides information, advice, referrals, and representation on a variety of issues, including:

  • Income Assistance: Disability Applications & Appeals, Information on Rights & Benefits.
  • Housing: Residential Tenancy Issues, Applications and Affordable Housing.
  • Employment Issues: Employment Insurance, etc.
  • Canada Pension Plan: Disability and Retirement, Employment Standards, Applications and Appeals.
  • Medical Applications: Medical Travel, Northern Health Benefits, First Nation Health Benefits.
  • Legal Issues: Accompany Clients to Court and support Clients through the Legal Process.

Coordinator

The Outreach/STV Support Coordinator helps clients gather information, gain knowledge, and develop the confidence and skills to effectively speak and act for themselves to resolve their crises.


The coordinator works one-on-one with each client in order to:

  • Determine the scope of client needs.
  • Analyze client's needs and goals.
  • Prioritize objectives and develop an action plan.
  • Support accessing external services and referrals to other agencies.
